[WOTC-GLC] Pokémon Review for Colorless Control

If you haven’t yet checked out my original post about WOTC-GLC and control decks, you can find that here . The two most promising types for control decks appeared to be colorless and psychic. For colorless, high hit points, support Pokemon powers, two flavors of resistance, and some recursion Pokemon were all green flags. I decided then to review every colorless Pokemon legal in the format and tag them with their functionalities ( spreadsheet here ) to see how often certain abilities arose, like gusting or spread damage. [WOTC-GLC] Control Deck Theory + Key Trainer Overview

I've recently gotten into watching the streams of (actually, primarily listening, but Pokémon is like baseball in that regard) gym leader challenge (GLC) tournaments. I particularly enjoyed one event featuring a "Colorless Control" deck centered around this Ursaluna card, which has the ability to recur two cards from the discard pile with a single attack. In a singleton format (just one of each card is allowed) this is incredibly powerful, and with enough maneuvering lets you shut the opponent out of playing, often by trapping something un-retreatable in the active or healing off whatever damage is dealt, at which point you can try to take prizes, deck them out, or even bench out. [Retro Pokémon: How do I play?] Part 2 - Playing online with TCG One

TCG One is a retro Pokémon simulator compatible with all the major formats from Base-Fossil through at least 2019 standard. (It may have other card games as well, I'm not really sure.) It has all the cards carefully rendered and coded to handle their interactions, including many translated Japanese exclusives, and therefore makes it very quick and easy to play matches. It's also free! You'll just need to make an account. The site has an international audience and a fairly large player base so you can usually find a match in one format or another pretty easily.
